Airpot Corp’s Custom Piston and Cylinder kits make great building blocks for engineers who have the need to design specialized mechanical or pneumatic devices involving volume displacement, pumping, bearing, actuation, or visible indication of position. The kits feature Airpot’s borosilicate glass cylinder and graphite piston material technology which allows the use of extremely tight tolerances to achieve a high precision fit and control of leak while offering a seal-less, self -lubricating pneumatic or light-load bearing device.

Custom models are offered in customer specified cylinder lengths measured to .xxx inches, up to a maximum length of 36 inches (depending upon model). Custom machining of the cylinders to produce side porting is often possible and machining of the pistons is also available depending upon required dimensions. Optional accessories are offered for most models, including specially designed silicone rubber cylinder seals to accommodate mounting and sealing at the cylinder ends, and urethane piston retainers which contain the pistons within the cylinders during handling.
